Watch "Tom Duane in the Neighborhood" on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (Time Warner Cable Channel 34 and RCN Channel 82)
Each month, Senator Duane presents a half hour public access television program in which he talks with community leaders and policy makers about issues of concern to his diverse constituency.
The program airs on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, which is responsible for administering the Public Access cable television services in Manhattan. It is carried by Time Warner Cable Channel 34 and RCN Channel 82 in Manhattan.
On the next episode, which will air on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:30pm and on Friday, February 27 at noon, Senator Duane will be speaking with three of his constituents who share his commitment to protecting, defending and finding appropriate homes for New York's companion animals and in various ways contribute to the welfare of animals and the people who love them. Tune in for an engaging discussion on animal companions and animal rights with:
Gail Fox, a member of the Advisory Committee for Not Home Alone, a voluntary program that ensures the pets of hospitalized patients are given proper care while their guardians focus on their health and well being;
Tracey Sides, Chair of the West Village Dog Owners Group, a not-for-profit community organization formed to address the needs of West Village dog owners, neighborhood residents and their pets;
and Stacy Alldredge, Owner and Director of Who's Walking Who Dog Obedience and Behavioral Training, which has the goal of helping guardians have the best relationship they can have with their dogs, while keeping the dogsf best interest at heart.
